II Horses

I took this whilst walking back home from dropping something off for a friend today. It's not exactly a shot i was after, but something similar to what i have been looking for. The location itself is Raikes Lane in Mold, and to be honest it's not somewhere I would have imagined i'd be taking photos. It never ceases to amaze me how much we miss when bombing along in a car! I'd reccomend to every that you must start walking! you never know what you'll end up with!

Bailey Hill, Yr Wyddgrug (Mold)

I will be visiting Bailey Hill this afternoon to hopefully capture some nice images. Below is a description of that particular little beauty spot.

Bailey Hill is a late 11th century earthwork motte and baileys fortress, founded by Robert de Montalt. A hillock was scarped to create a steep-sided motte, with two southern rectilinear baileys laying in-line as they drop down the slope, of this naturally strong site. In 1147, the castle was taken by Owain Gwynedd and in 1167 minor royal expenditure is recorded, after the area was recovered by King Henry II. Traces of masonry, have been noted on the summit of the motte and two stone walls of a possible hall have been located in the inner bailey. The castle was last mentioned in 1244 but since 1792 the site as been used as a recreation garden. The construction of a bowling green, which now occupies the inner bailey and the Gorstedd Stone Circle on the northern side of the motte, have also affected the site. 2 miles south-east is Tyddyn Mount and 6 miles south-east is Caergwrle Castle.

Accross The Sky...

This was taken last yearat the Llangollen Balloon Festival 08. Whilst there were many choices for pictures, this particular little ball of hot air captured my attention as it was moving at some speed due to aviational physics beyond my knowledge! Thankfully it carried on with its course.

commercial use etc...

All images that i take and work on are now available to everyone under the creative commons license however, should you wish to use my work for commercial purposes then, you need to get in touch with me for prices etc.

Will be back soon

Hi all, i will be back to the blog soon. I am currently working on a few ideas for future shoots. Please do get in touch if you want me to come out to where you are and take some pics.

Walking through Yr Wyddgrug (Mold)

On a normal evening walk through Mold Town or Yr Wyddgrug as its locally known I felt the urge to shoot a few frames of this old building. Normally it's ignored and just walked past without a second glance however, on this occasion i couldn't contain myself. Leave a comment to let me know what you think.

Trees in a Field II

This is the second shot i took. I have yet to go beyond the brow of the hill & hoping to find something quite spectacular! Moving to a new area certainly brings out the adventurous 5 year old in me.
